Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development of next-generation spacecraft systems.
Key Responsibilities- Drafting, Planning, and Executing Mechanical and Thermal Tests
- CAD Design of Spacecraft Mechanical Components and Test Hardware
- Post-Processing Test Data and Comparing Results to Analytical Predictions
- Developing Requirements and Managing Procurements for Flight and Test Hardware
- Contributing to a Dynamic Group Culture and Upholding Core Values
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Relevant Technical Degree
- Experience in PTC Creo or Equivalent CAD System
- Hands-On Experience Working with Hardware
- US Citizenship Status Required for Access to APL Facilities and Networks
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Equivalent
- Experience Leading Technical Projects
