Department Overview

The Software Deployment & Integration team is tasked with implementing mission-critical solutions in environments where every moment counts.

Each application within our Command Center suite is fortified with distinctive integrations, uniform user experiences, expedited workflows, and centralized data access.

Our public safety software suite stands as the sole comprehensive software platform that delivers a cohesive experience and intelligent functionalities tailored specifically for public safety.

This portfolio encompasses emergency call management, command and control, real-time intelligence operations, video, records and evidence management, broadband push-to-talk (PTT), and land-mobile radio (LMR) interoperability.

Overview:


We are in search of a Solutions Architect who is enthusiastic and proactive about contributing to public safety solutions that address the growing complexities of today's world.

The Flexible Solutions Architect (SA) role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of both broad and specialized knowledge.

It is essential to comprehend customer requirements and vision, aligning technical solutions to meet project objectives, adapt to evolving technologies, and enhance customer productivity and effectiveness.

The SA is accountable for crafting the overarching vision that informs the project solution and translating that vision into actionable execution.

Key to this position is the capability to identify technical specifications that can inform product or service roadmaps and architectures, as well as to demonstrate the end-to-end technical differentiation of Motorola Solutions' offerings.


The role will collaborate closely with the Flexible product deployment team and engage with product business units for technical clarifications and approaches to intricate requirements, while also interpreting technical specifications with the project team for delivery planning and project phases.

The SA will leverage the extensive technical architecture of Motorola Solutions' products, software, applications, third-party solutions, and customer legacy IT to translate business needs into technical architecture and oversee the deployment of the Flexible solution.


Desired Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows Server operating systems
- Expertise in network configuration
- Ability to manage situational stress

Preferred Proficiencies:
- Familiarity with law enforcement terminology
- Skills in shell and PERL scripting
- Experience in database management
- Knowledge of networking

Note:
This position is remote, allowing candidates to work from anywhere in the US.

Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of engineering, IT, or technical experience
- OR 5+ years of engineering, IT, or technical experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.


This position may involve working in high-security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy," necessitating the successful completion of a stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc.
