POSITION OVERVIEW:
The culinary team member is tasked with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes with precision and efficiency across all Granby Ranch dining establishments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure professional and accurate preparation and presentation of all food items.
  • Safeguard inventory, ensuring it is well-stocked and properly managed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the service, cooking, and storage areas.
  • Uphold quality and portion control for all menu offerings.
  • Adhere to all Colorado State Health Codes and safety regulations.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver exceptional guest service in all interactions with patrons, colleagues, and management.
  • Support other departments during events, races, and busy operational days.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiarity with food recipes and portion control.
  • Basic knife skills and knowledge of fundamental cuts.
  • Understanding of essential culinary techniques, including stocks, soups, meat and seafood preparation, baking, and emulsions.
  • Awareness of proper food handling procedures, including labeling, rotation, and storage of food, as well as sanitation and temperature control of sauces and stocks.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to complete ServSafe certification.
  • A minimum of 2 years of kitchen experience is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Primarily indoor work in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
  • Some outdoor responsibilities to service the patio area with an outdoor grill in a mountain environment with varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Dexterity required for operating kitchen equipment.
  • Availability for weekend and holiday shifts is necessary.
