Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute lesson plans that align with educational standards.
  • Modify curriculum for individual and group instruction to cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Assess students' academic and social progress.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment and maintain effective classroom management.
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate all learners.
  • Utilize data to inform instructional practices.
  • Incorporate technology to enhance learning experiences and student participation.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families.
  • Collaborate with peers to enhance teaching strategies and share effective practices.
  • Engage in continuous professional development.

Administrative Duties:

  • Respond to communications in a timely manner.
  • Ensure a well-organized classroom environment.
  • Exhibit professionalism and respect in all interactions.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Supervise students during designated duties.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Religious: Active, practicing Roman Catholic (preferred) with an understanding of Catholic educational philosophy.

Professional: Possession of a valid California multiple subject teaching credential (preferred) and a Bachelor's degree. A clear criminal background check is required.

Experience: Prior experience in an elementary educational setting is preferred, along with positive professional references.

Physical Requirements: The educator must be able to stand for extended periods, move around the classroom, and engage with students at various levels. The role may require lifting and rearranging classroom furniture.
