Job Description

The Technical Manager will be responsible for developing and deploying solutions to modernize, consolidate, and coordinate applications within and across the enterprise. This role will partner with the Director, manage peers, and enterprise architect on technical research and innovation within the infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
  • Contributes to and executes the overall IT strategy in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Leads the creation and evolution of the enterprise function/program, balancing enterprise business, information, technical data, and solution architectures
  • Collaborates with business and technology experts to translate business requirements into technological solutions
  • Leads continuous improvement initiatives for D365
  • Directs the analysis, design, development, and support of application platforms as part of the broader application landscape
  • Continuously reviews technology needs related to applications supporting evolving business needs
  • Collaborates effectively with key stakeholders to design, deliver, and implement enhancements and provide strategic direction on new and existing applications
  • Refines overall application performance, identifies performance improvement opportunities, and optimizes the application landscape
  • Oversees day-to-day team activities and ensures adherence to enterprise standards in project execution, technical delivery, and standards compliance
  • Mentors junior to mid-level team members, ensuring technical excellence and growth
  • Participates in testing activities of transaction systems, reporting, and integration
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Drives innovation by creating/identifying re-usable components, tools, and accelerators
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with managing complex implementations
    • Significant hands-on experience developing IT solutions using D365
    • Experience in Microsoft technology platforms, including SharePoint and .NET
    • Evaluates out-of-the-box options or design patterns that require minimal customization
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Good technical foundation, including structured programming (.NET)
  • Effective Communication:
    • Excellent verbal, written, collaborative, and proactive communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to build relationships across job levels
    • Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
    • Ability to convey and explain recommendations and decisions to stakeholders

Education and Experience:
  • Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience
    • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals
    • Eight years of experience in D365 with at least five years of experience as a Technical Lead coaching and mentoring others
    • Experience implementing D365 at large scale
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in the industrial sector
    • Certifications in related Microsoft Technologies
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Travel:

10-15% travel, including overnight stays, may be required

Work Environment:

This job can be performed remotely in a home office setting or in a professional office environment

Physical Requirements:

This position involves extended periods in a stationary position

Occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery and file cabinet
