About the Role:

TelevisaUnivision is seeking a skilled Technical Director to oversee the technical aspects of broadcast production from the Production Control Room. The ideal candidate will have experience in broadcast/media management and technical operations, with a strong understanding of control room workflows and audio, GFX, and server playouts.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Sony switcher and direct promos and briefs.
  • Apply technical expertise to resolve technical issues in the control room.
  • Collaborate with producers and production staff to prepare rundowns and coordinate graphics.
  • Manage and lead the technical crew during shift.
  • Work with Engineering to ensure equipment is operating properly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in television production or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as Technical Director of live shows.
  • Working knowledge of control room workflows and basic audio, GFX, and server playouts.
  • Knowledge of Sony Switcher and Sony ELC automation software preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
  • Ability to work regular hours, with on-call availability and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
