Position Overview

The Manufacturing Technician plays a crucial role in conducting comprehensive testing of all engineered systems orders to fulfill the quality standards expected by our clients, both internal and external. This position entails providing technical assistance, which includes troubleshooting equipment, validating completed engineered systems products, and generating the required validation documentation. The Manufacturing Technician will operate both independently and collaboratively with Operations and Engineering to guarantee that each system is finalized according to the established timeline.

Key Responsibilities

Execute final testing of engineered system orders in accordance with defined testing protocols. Conduct troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC issues as necessary to resolve problems. Update system documentation to reflect any modifications. Initiate permanent corrective measures for recurring internal failure modes through redesign, error rectification, or training. Develop new testing procedures based on insights from Field Engineering or the Quality Team. Ensure the maintenance of staging equipment and uphold a safe working environment throughout the testing processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Production and Engineering to meet target shipment deadlines and provide suggestions for enhancing component quality or system performance.

Educational Background and Experience

Education

Associate degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering or Technology. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years of electrical/electromechanical experience is acceptable.

Experience

At least 8 years of experience in a similar capacity within a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

Strong organizational and communication abilities. Proficient electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic skills. Capability to manage multiple projects and their milestones while maintaining high-quality standards. Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Strong troubleshooting skills to address equipment and system challenges. Ability to collaborate with diverse teams to achieve set objectives. Flexibility and multitasking skills are essential for success in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with software and computer systems. Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and control systems.
