Job Description:

3M is seeking a highly skilled Systems Technician to join our team at our Clinton, TN site.

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and collaborate with innovative 3Mers from around the world.

As a Systems Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Programming and troubleshooting PLC software and hardware
  • Interpreting PLC ladder logic and machine sequence of operation
  • Troubleshooting and repairing robotics systems
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing production equipment
  • Performing preventive maintenance tasks
  • Performing preliminary equipment inspections, running conduit, and terminating wiring
  • Calibrating weight systems, transmitters, transducers, indicators, readouts, and tuning control loops
  • Creating and modifying spreadsheets and databases for historical trending and word-processed databases
  • Maintaining a safe work environment
  • Performing housekeeping tasks
  • Assisting in the checkout, debugging, and startup of new equipment as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Possess a one (1) year technical diploma/degree or higher in a Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics or Maintenance discipline from an accredited institution or three (3) years of experience in Maintenance

Desired qualifications include:

  • Possess a two (2) degree in a technical field
  • Ten (10) years of experience in Maintenance
  • Experience with Allen Bradley software: RS Logix, Control Logix, Factory Talk ME, Guard Logix
  • Experience with servos and motion control devices
  • Experience with installation, setup, and maintenance of Robotics: Kuka and Fanuc Robots
  • Experience with the operation of chillers, boilers, air compressors, and pumps
  • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills

Pay Transparency: The starting rate of pay for this position is $34.49/hr, with the potential to reach $38.62/hr

This targeted compensation range represents a good faith estimate and can vary based on factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
