Position Overview

The role involves overseeing business support functions within a specialized or multi-specialty environment. The focus is on structuring the workplace and processes to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage business operations effectively. Oversee registration and scheduling processes. Supervise medical billing and charge entry. Ensure the maintenance of medical records. Facilitate patient care coordination. Lead patient service representatives. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and resolve operational challenges. Implement relevant policies and procedures.
  • Lead and develop staff and teams. Collaborate with recruitment to attract and retain skilled personnel. Provide training and orientation for new hires. Oversee staff performance, including coaching, recognition, and conducting annual performance evaluations.
  • Address and resolve patient concerns. Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to manage patient and family inquiries. Take necessary actions to ensure concerns are addressed satisfactorily.
  • Engage in the budgeting process. Develop and monitor the operational budget for the designated area. Ensure that financial and staffing objectives are achieved. Utilize critical thinking to propose suggestions and innovations aimed at continuous quality improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • For most locations: A Bachelor's degree is preferred; an Associate's degree in business or a health-related field with 4 years of relevant experience is required, or 6 years of related experience with a commitment to enroll in an Associate's program within 6 months of hire and achieve an Associate's degree within 4 years of hire. A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience is preferred.
  • For specific locations, an Associate's degree is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary work environment.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs; frequent negligible weight lifting.
