About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Integrator to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our System Integration and Analysis Team, you will play a critical role in the development of our next-generation lunar lander, the MK2 Crew Lunar Lander.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the technical lead for the integration of the Avionics system, ensuring seamless communication between multiple stakeholders and teams.
  • Develop and maintain electrical interface control documents (ICDs) to ensure accurate and efficient system integration.
  • Contribute to or lead architecture studies, concept development, verification planning, vehicle integration, and operations support to ensure the successful launch and operation of the lunar lander.
  • Manage requirements development, definition, and maturity to ensure that all system components meet the necessary standards and specifications.
  • Generate Concept of Operations (ConOps) documents to outline the operational procedures and protocols for the lunar lander.
  • Coordinate constraints and conflicting requirements across multiple disciplines to ensure that all system components are properly integrated and functioning as intended.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical subject area.
  • Deep technical knowledge in the Avionics subsystem, with experience analyzing and managing spacecraft technical budgets and margins.
  • Strong ability and desire to analyze complex systems and deliver solutions to results-oriented problems.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant experience, particularly experience in digital communication architectures with an emphasis on integrated command and data handling systems.
  • M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Electrical, or related technical subject area.
  • Experience with electrical integrated testing and verification/validation approaches.
  • Deep technical knowledge in multiple subsystems.
  • Experience with human-rated spacecraft.
  • Experience with MBSE methods and tools including SysML.
  • Experience with software tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Git, Jama, Cameo, Confluence, and JIRA.
