Head of Investor Relations Job Overview

Selby Jennings is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our investor relations efforts as Head of Investor Relations. This critical role will be responsible for crafting a compelling narrative around our fund's investment strategy and performance, while driving process improvements across fundraising and investor relations activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Fundraising Efforts: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our fund's investment strategy and performance, and effectively communicate this to investors through various channels.
  • Drive Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline our fundraising and investor relations processes, and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide Administrative Support: Assist the internal Investor Relations team and external Sales Team with administrative tasks, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure Data Integrity: Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in our CRM system, and ensure that critical information is translated across firm-wide reporting and investor data repositories.
  • Investor Outreach and Servicing: Assist with investor outreach and servicing responsibilities, including responding to investor inquiries and requests for information.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct ongoing research of the growth equity industry, including industry best practices and relevant market data, to inform our external communications and investor relations efforts.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in investor relations, preferably within the private equity or investment management industry.
  • Financial Markets Understanding: Strong understanding of financial markets and appreciation for technology/software sector.
  • Private Equity Knowledge: Strong understanding of private equity markets, investment strategies, and financial performance metrics.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, high-net-worth individuals, and other stakeholders.
  • Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Integrity and Professionalism: High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
