">The salary for this position will be based on the Teacher Salary Scale plus a $3000 supplement, with the exact amount to be determined by the 2024-2025 salary scales approved by the school district.
">Job Description
">We are looking for a dedicated Speech and Language Pathologist to work in our Exceptional Student Education (SPED) department. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing procedures approved by the state, district, and principal for identifying students with speech and language disabilities.

- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine strengths and concerns in areas such as speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills.">
- Analyze results and write timely reports to inform instruction and support student progress.">
- Ensure evaluations, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and service delivery align with school, state, and federal guidelines.">
- Provide high-quality speech-language therapy services to students according to their IEPs.">
- Collaborate with principals and school staff to generalize student skills across settings.">
- Implement the program for speech and language students in assigned schools, adhering to district and state policies and regulations.">
- Stay current with best practices in speech language pathology and share knowledge with relevant stakeholders.">
- Respond promptly and professionally to parent needs and concerns.">
- Work closely with building-level staff to maintain and coordinate support for students with speech-language disorders.">
- Participate in parent conferences, student support meetings, 504 meetings, special education eligibility meetings, and IEP meetings as needed.">
- Submit required reports to the school district in a timely manner.">
Required Skills and Qualifications
">To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

- A minimum of an S-5 (Master's level) Georgia Educator Service Certification in Speech Language Pathology.">
- A minimum of five years of successful therapy practice experience.">
- The ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members.">
- High integrity, excellent character, and a good professional reputation.">
- Adherence to the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.">
- The ability to be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.">
- The physical ability to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.">
- The ability to perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.">
- Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communication skills essential for task performance.">
