We are seeking an experienced and passionate Business Education teacher to join our high school team at Henry County Schools. As a dedicated educator, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of your students and contribute to their academic and personal growth.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lesson plans and instructional materials that cater to the diverse needs of students. You will work closely with colleagues to develop schemes of work, assessments, and evaluations that align with established guidelines.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing effective teaching strategies to promote active learning and student engagement
  • Creating and maintaining accurate records of student progress and development
  • Providing constructive feedback on student work and assessing performance and development
  • Participating in departmental and parent meetings to discuss student progress and collaborate on teaching approaches
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator Certificate or meet the district's professional qualifications. Additionally, you should possess exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and a strong professional reputation.

A strong ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community is essential. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively manage student behavior in accordance with established guidelines.

Working Conditions

This role requires regular, predictable, and reliable attendance at the physical worksite. You will be required to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting, as well as routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.

Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks. You will need to be able to properly and consistently supervise students, particularly during emergency situations.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is between $55,000 and $85,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. This figure may vary depending on individual circumstances and local market conditions.
