Detention Officer

Seeking a Detention Officer to provide security, safety, and care for inmates at our correctional facility in Henry County, GA. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining order and ensuring the well-being of those in custody.

• Inmate Supervision: Monitor and supervise inmates to prevent harm to themselves or others, respond to alarms, conduct searches for contraband, and provide information on charges, bonding, and personal interactions.
• Facility Security: Maintain control towers, video surveillance systems, and ensure that all inmates are accounted for and secured in their cells.
• Support Services: Provide daily living needs, issue clothing, distribute meals and commissary, oversee recreation activities, and participate in cafeteria and laundry operations.
• Transportation: Transport inmates within the facility or to external locations while maintaining control at all times.
• Visitor Management: Ensure visitor access to facilities, conduct searches for contraband, and escort visitors within the facility.

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: One year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid Georgia driver's license required.

We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, including a salary range of $45,000-$55,000 annually, depending on experience. The work environment may require standing for extended periods, exposure to adverse conditions, and moderate to loud noise levels.
