Bus Monitor

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused individual to serve as a School Bus Monitor for Henry County Schools. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and safety of students during their daily commute.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Assist bus drivers on each route to ensure the physical and emotional safety of students
• Attend training meetings as required by the Director of Transportation
• Assist with loading and unloading of students, including lifting up to 40 pounds
• Become familiar with and demonstrate competence in operating special equipment needed to transport students
• Communicate effectively and professionally with school staff, students, and the public

**Requirements:**

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work well with staff, possess high integrity, excellent character, and a good professional reputation
• Ability to be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work
• Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting

**Compensation:**

The estimated salary for this position is $77.60 per day for 5 hours. We offer a competitive daily rate that reflects the importance of this role in supporting student safety and well-being.
