Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Haywood Regional Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our respiratory care team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Treat Patients: Evaluate patients' respiratory conditions and develop effective treatment plans to improve their lung function and overall health.
  • Operate Respiratory Equipment: Safely and effectively operate a variety of respiratory equipment, including ventilators, oxygen therapy devices, and other life-support machines.
  • Monitor Patient Progress: Continuously monitor patients' respiratory status and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and achieve treatment goals.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest respiratory care techniques, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of a school of Respiratory Therapy
  • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire, AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire, AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of employment, AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of employment
  • Licenses: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
