Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our EH&S team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate, plan, and administer training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct comprehensive safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Investigate injuries, incidents, and complaints to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety data and compile reports to track trends and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, or Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in an occupational safety role, with a strong background in regulatory compliance and safety management.
- Working knowledge of safety principles and practices in a facilities or production maintenance environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Current Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
- Prior experience supporting the Intel customer.
- Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting multiple sites simultaneously.
- Experience effectively delivering training to multiple levels of personnel.
