Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team at HITT Contracting, Inc. As an APM, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain adherence to HITT's safety standards and ensure required documentation is filed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in creating and managing project budgets, developing pre-construction RFP packages, and conducting project meetings.
  • Establish job processes, including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change orders.
  • Update project schedules, ensure quality control, and establish overall project logistics.
  • Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business preferred.
  • 2-5 years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
  • Previous experience on commercial job sites strongly preferred.
  • Passion for construction and our industry; ability to recognize and seek quality.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to master sector/project-specific software systems.
