Job Summary

HITT Contracting, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a critical role in the success of our commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination
    • Coordinate and manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and pay applications.
    • Assist in creating and managing project budgets for assigned projects.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
    • Collaborate with project superintendents and site operations teams to ensure project quality control and logistics.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure adherence to HITT's standards of safety and quality.
    • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and identify potential issues.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Assist in managing the closeout process, including final inspections and punch lists.
    • Update project schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma required; four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
  • Experience
    • 2-5 years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
    • Previous experience on commercial job sites is strongly preferred.
  • Skills
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems, including ProCore, Adobe, and BlueBeam.
