Capitol Technology University invites applications for the position of Assistant Comptroller. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our finance team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies and plans that align with the university's mission and goals.

About the Role

The Assistant Comptroller will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the University and Foundation, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll, general ledger, financial reporting, cash management, federal grant accounting, contract accounting, record archival, and federal reporting.

You will work closely with the Office of Registration, Financial Aid, Graduate & Undergraduate Admissions, Development, Student Services, and Residence Life to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies and plans.
  • Prepare financial reports and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations, and implement necessary changes to our financial systems and procedures.
