Job Title: Attendance Liaison

At Memphis-Shelby County Schools, we are seeking a highly skilled Attendance Liaison to join our team. As a key member of our enrollment and attendance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of attendance data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and reconcile daily attendance codes in PowerSchool for all teachers at a specified school location.
  • Monitor chronic absenteeism rates and student populations to proactively facilitate positive attendance and enrollment practices.
  • Collaborate with Central Office to examine and correct attendance and enrollment data for forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Assist parents and students with daily attendance challenges affecting ADM and initiate the tiered intervention process to remove attendance barriers.
  • Act as a primary liaison between school and Central Office, serving as a direct point-of-contact to troubleshoot issues, provide guidance, and address questions related to common enrollment/attendance issues.
Requirements:
  • Preferred graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Two (2) years of related experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling six (6) years.
