Purpose & Scope:

Works under the supervision of Associate Vice President Clinical Operations – VHCPG and Pathology Point of Care Coordinator. Is responsible for organizing, planning, directing, and evaluating testing done within the PG Group. Is also responsible for training of new PG group Lab personnel and quality assurance within the group. Responsible for performing the duties of a phlebotomist as needed. Functions as Coordinator and Lab Liaison, overseeing the daily operations of CLIA waived Point of Care testing. Ensures that all VHC Health Physicians labs meet all CLIA Waive testing requirements for quality control, documentation and competency. Responsible for managing and coordinating all activities concerning staff training and access to supply ordering system. Maintains and updates all CLIA waived Point of Care Procedure manuals and required documentation by regulatory. Coordinate with PG group leadership and Pathology to ensure new practice labs are setup appropriately. Serves as the Lab Safety Officer for the PG group. Ability to multitask and strong attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Positions requires travel between practices.

Education:

Associate Degree in Science Preferred.

Experience:

2 years supervisory including training experience in patient service center

5 years phlebotomy experience
