Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. In this role, you will lead mechanical engineering efforts for Navy clients, applying your expertise in system design and analysis to drive program outcomes.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity to work with a dynamic team of engineers and acquisition professionals on complex defense systems projects. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading cross-functional teams of engineers and other stakeholders to achieve program goals
  • Analyzing mechanical designs through review of design artifacts and performing quantitative analyses of mechanical systems
  • Developing and implementing mechanical design standards and practices for Naval ships and systems
  • Collaborating with systems engineers, electrical and electronics engineers, and logistics and sustainment professionals to ensure successful project execution
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in system design and analysis
  • Knowledge of mechanical design standards and practices for defense systems, as well as Navy acquisition processes
  • Top Secret clearance
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Work Arrangements
