The Program Supervisor plays a crucial role in the effective management and oversight of designated residential programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a flexible schedule, typically Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, with potential adjustments based on program needs, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.
  • Ensuring that staff members uphold health and safety standards while promoting individual autonomy and skill development for independent living.
  • Participating in assessments, meetings, and collaborative planning sessions to create and implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and related documentation.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of Habilitation Plans and associated documentation to ensure compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
  • Completing necessary paperwork and documentation in accordance with established policies and billing practices.
  • Adhering to all applicable regulations set forth by OPWDD and other governing bodies.
  • Managing staff schedules, timecards, and leave requests effectively.
  • Supervising Assistant Program Supervisors and Direct Support Professionals, ensuring training completion and conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Participating in the recruitment process by interviewing candidates and making hiring recommendations.
  • Identifying and addressing safety concerns and incidents, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Training staff to enhance the quality of life for individuals receiving services, focusing on choice, health, safety, and personal goals.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with effective time management abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and holiday shifts, while maintaining a consistent attendance record.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software relevant to departmental operations.
  • Able to produce detailed written reports and respond to inquiries regarding these reports.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment in both routine and emergency situations.
  • Physical capability to meet certification requirements and lift up to fifty (50) pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with three (3) years of experience in a similar role, particularly with the OPWDD population, or a High School diploma/GED with equivalent experience.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license that meets agency insurance standards.
