Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Crusher Manager, the Aggregate Equipment Maintenance Technician is tasked with executing repairs and scheduled maintenance on crushing machinery. This role necessitates travel for extended durations to various job sites and may involve working different shifts, including nights and weekends.

Core Responsibilities
The duties of the Aggregate Equipment Maintenance Technician encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting repairs on all crushing machinery, which includes welding, minor fabrication, and changing cone liners.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including the service truck and tool van.
  • Diagnosing mechanical failures and identifying future preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Following directives from supervisors accurately.
  • Performing additional construction-related tasks as necessary, such as assisting colleagues or working in the gravel pit.

• Uphold and promote the company's safety protocols, encouraging all personnel, subcontractors, and consultants to embrace safety as a core value.
• Participate in safety meetings and inspections actively.
• Ensure safe work practices to prevent injury to oneself and others.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Foster a collaborative work environment and maintain respectful communication with all team members.
• Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots, hard hats, and hearing and eye protection.

Qualifications & Experience
• Strong commitment to work ethics.
• Previous mechanical experience is advantageous, though on-the-job training will be provided.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred but not mandatory.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Capability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Flexibility in work hours is essential, as shifts typically range from 8 to 10 hours and are subject to weather conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Must be prepared to travel to various locations, as the crushing equipment is mobile.
• Work is primarily outdoors, potentially in adverse weather conditions, including heat, cold, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
• MSHA certification is required; training will be provided if necessary.
• Compliance with the company's drug and alcohol testing policies is mandatory.

The selected candidate will be required to join or become a member of the Union of Operating Engineers.
