Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Northwest Real Estate Capital Corporation. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall physical condition of our properties, including grounds maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the exterior common areas and grounds, including lawns, flowerbeds, shrubbery, parking areas, and trash pickup.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs on the property, including painting, carpentry, or wall repair, and minor plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, heating, etc.
  • Turnover Process: Secure, clean, repair, and apply bed bug treatment to all units during the turnover process as directed by the Regional Property Manager.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Complete and accurately document preventative maintenance activities through the Recurring Work Order process.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies as instructed and complete incident/accident reports related to emergency or incident.
  • Communication: Collaborate with the Regional Property Manager to advise on the overall condition of the property, including potential hazards.
Requirements
  • Education: High School degree or equivalent and technical training/experience in a building trade required.
  • Experience: 2 years or more in skilled maintenance work required.
  • Physical Demands: Frequently required to push/pull objects weighing more than 100 lbs. and lift/carry objects weighing more than 50 lbs. but less than 100 lbs.
  • Cognitive Abilities: Frequently required to concentrate on moderate detail with moderate interruption.
Work Environment

This position requires frequent exposure to seasonal conditions in outside weather and occasional exposure to grease, oil, chemicals, toxins or poisonous materials, dust, loud noises, high humidity, and electrical or mechanical hazards.
