Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team at Avmax Montana Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians and ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign and schedule tasks to maintenance technicians based on skill set and company policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the work of maintenance technicians to ensure that it meets company standards.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to maintenance technicians.
  • Execute project plans and manage work scope within budget.
  • Review work cards and ensure that they reflect the actual status of projects.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks on aircraft when all other duties are accomplished.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to maintenance technicians.
  • Ensure that all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Verify daily time cards and ensure that all time is accounted for.
  • Responsible for ensuring that maintenance technicians are working productively and following company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that equipment is used safely and in accordance with company policies.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Administer performance reviews and corrective progressive discipline as necessary.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated capability and competency in field of expertise.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with other individuals throughout the organization.
  • Possesses strong fundamental aircraft knowledge.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with predictive budgets.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing others.
  • Must be certificated under 14 CFR Part 65 for the work being supervised.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in the field.

Physical Demands

  • Occasionally lift 50 pounds.
  • Bend.
  • Stoop.
  • Kneel.
  • Crawl.
  • Climb ladders.
  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Work at heights of greater than 10 feet utilizing fall restraint equipment as necessary.
