Electrical Construction Supervisor

Position Overview:

The Electrical Construction Supervisor will manage and direct a designated construction project from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and financial plans.

Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Involved in the recruitment, selection, and oversight of personnel for specific electrical assignments.
  • Monitors the project to guarantee that work complies with quality benchmarks and follows outlined specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads the initial planning phase by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders; formulates a comprehensive outline of tasks and materials required for project completion.
  • Organizes and schedules the project in a logical sequence and allocates the necessary time to meet each milestone.
  • Maintains regular communication with Superintendents and Project Managers regarding project needs, progress updates, and any arising concerns.
  • Ensures budget compliance and, in the event of unforeseen challenges, promptly makes necessary adjustments in partnership with the Project Manager.
  • Plans, coordinates, and supervises activities related to the electrical aspects of assigned structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Guarantees that safety protocols and regulations are upheld on the job site, ensuring compliance with all safety standards across projects.
  • Collaborates with clients, supervisory personnel, contractors, and design professionals to address and resolve issues, including work processes, complaints, and electrical or design challenges.
  • Directs and manages responses to delays, adverse weather conditions, or emergencies at work sites.
  • Fosters and maintains positive working relationships with a diverse range of individuals, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespeople, and craft workers.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
  • Ability to remain adaptable and effective in a dynamic work environment.
  • Capacity to make informed and swift decisions, manage stress effectively, and navigate unexpected situations or delays.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently while identifying and resolving issues.
  • Solid understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction documentation.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in electrical construction is required.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician License is preferred but not mandatory.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be capable of traversing and inspecting all areas of the job site in various weather conditions, which may involve walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Exposure to typical construction site hazards.
  • Must be available to respond to delays, emergencies, adverse weather, and other job site issues.
