Regional Sales Manager for Encoders

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team at Nidec. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing customer relationships and prospecting for new business development in the assigned territory for the Encoders business.
Key Responsibilities:- Create, maintain and exceed sales plans objectives & goals.
- Recruitment, development, and management of sales channels (reps, distributors, integrators & end users).
- Create and support sales programs particular to the assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain contact with key customers on an ongoing basis and develop customer proposals to increase business activity.
- Develop strong relationships with existing customers.
- Work with Product Marketing to execute marketing programs, lead follow-up.
- Develop new projects and opportunities based on customer requirements and interact with Marketing and R&D for new product developments.
- Achieve assigned sales quota for assigned territory.
- Develop new customers and maintain existing accounts as required using the ABC Account Planning process.
- Accomplish key MBO's concerning new product and market specific programs.
- Accomplish brand awarded with all major players in the territory.
- Help define new product requirements for territory.
Depending on experience, the learning period may vary from 3-6 months for high experience individuals and 6-12 months for low experience individuals.
This is a home-based position with travel up to 50%.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred, and a minimum of three (3) years' experience in the drive system/industrial automation and controls field is required.
Demonstrated ability to achieve assigned budget and performance metrics is essential.
