Director of Criminal Justice Programs

Job Summary: The University of Kentucky seeks a visionary leader to serve as the Director of Criminal Justice Programs. Reporting to the Dean and receiving oversight from the Associate Dean of Academic and Student Affairs, the successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of the Criminal Justice faculty and programs.
Responsibilities:
* Conceptualize and communicate vision, priorities, and goals for the Criminal Justice programs.
* Represent CoSW Criminal Justice interests at relevant venues.
* Provide supervision and mentorship to faculty and staff assigned to the Criminal Justice Programs.
* Stay abreast of contemporary challenges and opportunities associated with undergraduate and graduate students.
* Actively participate in development activities focused on building scholarship support for Criminal Justice students.
* Lead the deployment of new programmatic efforts associated with the Criminal Justice programs.
* Develop strategic plans and frameworks consistent with programmatic goal attainment.
Requirements:
* An earned doctorate in Criminal Justice or a related field.
* An outstanding record commensurate with an Associate Professor or Professor.
* Two years of administration or management experience OR a history of progressively responsible administrative/leadership experience.
* A commitment to ensuring diverse representation of people, processes, methodologies, and content areas.
