The Criminal Defense Attorney Specialist will be responsible for reviewing client issues on legal matters, analyzing available options, and diligently working to determine the best course of action. They will also represent clients in court for reckless driving and DUI cases, conduct legal research, and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Additionally, the Specialist will develop case strategies, manage cases from inception to resolution, and provide legal advice and counsel to clients.

The ideal candidate will have solid communication skills, problem-solving skills, and be prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base. We offer a competitive salary of $75,000 - $150,000 yearly, bonuses, and a strong benefits package, commensurate with experience. Responsibilities:

  • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action
  • Represent clients in court for reckless driving and DUI cases
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Develop case strategies and manage cases from inception to resolution
  • Negotiate with prosecutors and other legal representatives
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients

Qualifications:

  • Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members, and senior attorneys
  • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar of Virginia
  • No experience is necessary, but 1-3 years of experience in criminal defense preferable with a focus on reckless driving and DUI cases
  • Strong understanding of State DUI and Traffic laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity

Salary and Benefits:

Our competitive salary for this position is $75,000 - $150,000 yearly, with bonuses and a strong benefits package commensurate with experience.
