Job Title: Fabrication Specialist

At Ameripipe Supply, Inc., we are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for creating finished products based on drawings and material cut lists provided by the Manufacturing Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tack material together and check that layout is correct based on drawing and then finish welds material to create finished product.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and sketches and follow instructions given both verbally and in written form.
  • Read a tape measure and gauges, type of materials according to specifications.
  • Perform high mathematic shop math, convert decimals to fraction equivalents and fractions to decimal equivalents.
  • Layout, measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials.
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines and knowledge of air/hand tools.
  • Inspect parts for accuracy and produce quality products consistently.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of 1-year fabrication experience required.
  • Technical knowledge in the area of machinery, tools, gauging and fabrication.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Solid ability to solve problems.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Proven experience with quality control analysis.
  • Must have basic knowledge of math and geometry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written) with ability to create strong relationships.
  • Ability to use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel and inventory systems. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, twist, stand for long periods of time, climb, push, pull, carry, reach for items, and endure frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
  • Ability to pass background check, MVR check, and drug test where required.
