We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at National General Corp. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, resolving their inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and complete information to customers regarding claims procedures and regulatory time frames.
  • Confirm status of policy coverages and generate the appropriate perils.
  • Perform follow-up work with customers to secure valuable information and/or provide updated status when relevant to the situation.
  • Timely communicate vital information or paperwork secured to the handling adjuster or unit management.
  • Set high standards of performance for self and assume responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments and tasks.
  • Relate in a positive, respectful way with all associates and demonstrate enthusiasm and support for the organization, its leaders and co-workers.
  • Make sound, logical decisions that contribute to the organization's success.
  • Adapt appropriately to differing styles and situations.
  • Be engaged and focused on teamwork, participation, innovation, quality and positive outcomes.
Requirements
  • Utilize time management skills to effectively set priorities in order to achieve departmental goals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate, able to assimilate to business applications on multiple platforms.
  • Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must successfully complete 90-day probationary period and other related training programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bi-Lingual preferably English/Spanish.
  • 1+ years of experience in the Auto Insurance Industry.
  • Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience.
