Position: Chief Information Technology Officer

ROLE OVERVIEW: We are in search of a Chief Information Technology Officer who can craft our comprehensive technology strategy, vision, and roadmap in alignment with our organizational goals. This individual will be pivotal in pinpointing, recommending, developing, executing, and supporting scalable, cost-efficient technology solutions across all facets of the organization. We are looking for a vibrant leader capable of fulfilling a dual role as a strategic innovator and a hands-on technical manager for systems, applications, and networks within the company. The ideal candidate must be both able and willing to 'lead' and to 'execute'.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Formulate and execute strategies that enable a globally distributed, rapidly growing team to balance the need for agility and flexibility while prioritizing security.
  • Foster lasting relationships with stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
  • Collaborate with senior-level stakeholders throughout the organization to assess business and technology requirements and enhance the utilization of current and future information technology systems.
  • Oversee IT outsourcing agreements and their service level agreements (Colocation, 2nd level support, etc.).
  • Aid in the establishment of IT standards (i.e.: ITIL v4, ISO IEC27001/2), audit requests, best practices, policies, and key performance indicators as they pertain to North America.
  • Develop and implement security information controls in accordance with company policy, including hardware, software, and awareness initiatives.
  • Architect and maintain database systems and business intelligence environments.
  • Manage, track, and report on the IT department's annual budget while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Assist in creating strategic roadmaps and cost/benefit analyses for all enterprise applications and infrastructure for North America.
  • Recruit, develop, and oversee a small but expanding team of skilled IT professionals.
  • Establish, maintain, and adhere to IT user onboarding and security protocols and information security policies.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing for any application and IT infrastructure releases and implementations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and procurement for selected IT products/services.
  • Supervise Risk/Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery for the North American IT landscape.
  • Assist with information security evaluations and audits; provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is advantageous.
  • 15 years of professional experience in technology, including at least 7 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Profound understanding of computer systems, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, application development, business intelligence platforms, customer relationship management, and enterprise resource planning systems (experience with SAP Business One is a significant advantage).
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Strong grasp of cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to articulate a clear strategic vision for information technology and implement that vision to support business objectives.
  • Proven expertise in supporting and managing IT environments within small to medium-sized organizations.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth organization with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Knowledge of various vendor technology solutions; capability to select and integrate the most suitable technologies to support the business.
  • Willingness to provide comprehensive user IT support and troubleshooting, from desktop/laptop to cloud/server and network.
  • Ability to lead security initiatives.
  • Experience with IT solutioning, procurement, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Security certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CIPP/US are advantageous.
