Job Summary:

The Information Technology (IT) Site Administrator is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the information technology infrastructure at a specific site or location within the organization and providing support remotely to other facilities when needed. This role involves guiding the day-to-day IT operations, providing technical support to end-users, ensuring network and system reliability, and supporting the implementation of IT policies and procedures. The IT Site Administrator will utilize technical expertise results in enhancing IT system efficiency across the Company’s structure.  

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Provides technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly. 

·         Troubleshoots and resolves IT-related problems reported by employees.

·         Assists with setting up and configuring computer systems and peripherals for new hires as well as on a break/fix basis. 

·         Monitors and maintains the site’s network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and access points. 

·         Ensures the security and integrity of data through data management practices and system updates. 

·         Collaborates with the central IT team to implement network and system improvements. 

·         Performs regular maintenance tasks, including hardware upgrades and software installations. 

·         Conducts hardware and software inventory management for the site. 

·         Coordinates equipment repair or replacement when necessary. 

·         Assist users in understanding and adhering to IT policies and best practices. 

·         Enforces IT security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data. 

·         Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. 

·         Maintains documentation related to IT systems, configurations, and procedures. 

·         Prepares reports on IT activities and incidents as required. 

·         Collaborates with IT vendors for procurement, maintenance, and support of IT equipment and services. 

·         Serves as the site’s point of contact for IT-related emergencies and participates in disaster recovery planning. 

·         Delivers excellent customer service through timely, courteous, and diligent responses to user inquiries and computer/network issues.

·         Efficiently oversees the IT service desk ticketing system, ensuring timely updates on the status of all service requests. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

·         Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to build and maintain strong rapports with internal/externa partners

·         Detail oriented with the capabilities of handling multiple priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously

·         Critical thinking, investigatory, and problem-solving abilities 

·         Solid business acumen with the ability to comprehend how IT influences various facets of the organization

·         Firm knowledge of best practices in IT administration, Microsoft O365 products/services and ManageEngine

·         Proven track record of effectively utilizing IT incident ticketing systems to handle and prioritize requests

·         Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications

·         Proficient with Microsoft Suites (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), network protocols, systems security, and troubleshooting

·         Skilled in different types of computer hardware, software, peripherals and components, networking protocols and communications

Education & Experience:  

·         3+ years of relevant experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role

·         Experience in information systems support or similar role

Preferred

·         Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 

·         IT certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL)

·         Experience with ticketing systems such as Solarwinds Service Desk, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira Service Management

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements:

·         Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time. 

·         Must be able to work in different climate conditions. 

·         Work is performed in an office and plant environment with telephones, personal computers, and printers. 

·         The noise level of the environment is usually moderate. 

·         Sedentary position with seldom to occasional lifting of less than 35 pounds. 

·         Physical requirements include sitting, bending, stooping, standing climbing, twisting, reaching, and stretching on a daily basis.
