Job Title: Program Supervisor IV

As a Program Supervisor IV with the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services, you will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Texas Health Steps Program. This position requires a strong understanding of Medicaid services and eligibility, as well as knowledge of social service programs and health care delivery systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the activities of regional program staff, providing technical guidance and oversight of program operations.
  • Develop and implement program policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure effective program delivery.
  • Coordinate program activities with internal and external stakeholders, including county medical societies, county dental societies, and other relevant agencies.
  • Attend public hearings, Medicaid Managed Care Organization meetings, and other relevant events to stay informed and represent the program.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of program initiatives, including provider recruitment and retention strategies.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Medicaid services and eligibility.
  • Knowledge of social service programs and health care delivery systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including staff, providers, and community members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and resolve operational problems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
