As a GI LAB RN, you will be part of a dynamic team that specializes in Cardiovascular Service, Emergency Services, Neuroscience, Orthopedic Services, Radiology, Rehabilitation Services, and Surgical Services.

Responsibilities:
The GI LAB RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the Shift Nursing Supervisor.
Responsibilities include the delivery of direct and indirect patient care for Medical-Surgical Outpatients and/or Inpatients receiving surgical and/or invasive procedures through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Effective communication with physicians, co-workers, and/or nursing directors is essential, as well as the ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Collaboration with other departments is necessary to provide a continuum of care and continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow, and unit maintenance and organization.
Adherence to regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies and procedures is mandatory, as well as participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services.
Acting as a resource for other personnel as appropriate is also a key responsibility.
Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience
Current and valid state RN License
Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
ACLS 30 days upon hire and maintain current
Minimum of one year experience in an acute care or outpatient surgery setting or G.I. lab
Completed Moderate Sedation competency within 30 days upon hire required
