HR Manager

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team at EVONA. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the HR department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Compliance Management: Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This includes safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Talent Acquisition: Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Background Checks and Eligibility Verification: Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- New Hire Onboarding and Orientation: Manage new hire onboarding and orientation.
- Human Resource Program Administration: Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
- Employment-Related Inquiries: Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Disciplinary Meetings and Investigations: Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Compliance with Employment Laws and Regulations: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Staying Current with HR Trends and Best Practices: Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
