Position Overview:

The role entails overseeing all operations at the construction site, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to timelines, and managing project budgets as outlined in the estimates. Experience in retail renovations is advantageous. This position requires travel to various job sites across the country.

Qualified candidates should possess verifiable experience as a Superintendent, alongside additional construction background. A solid understanding of project timelines is essential, with the ability to deliver projects punctually and within budget by monitoring variances and cost estimates. Superintendents must demonstrate a successful history of supervising and coordinating all personnel, including subcontractors and materials, to mitigate delays. The ideal candidate will be highly driven. A Bachelor's Degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.

The responsibilities of this position demand a high level of specialized knowledge and skill in maintaining established quality and accuracy standards. A strong sense of drive, determination, and self-discipline are crucial for achieving results that align with these standards. Although the work pace is typically brisk, quality remains paramount. Communication and organizational relationships are rooted in technical expertise. The role requires adept problem-solving skills and creativity while operating within established organizational frameworks and technologies. Candidates must embody the values of integrity, quality, and safety. Coaching and training support for effective delegation will be necessary. This position offers a defined scope of control and is ideal for someone who fosters trust, exhibits urgency, and consistently meets quality benchmarks. Decision-making and adherence to company guidelines must be executed promptly and authoritatively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize, coordinate, and supervise the activities of assistant superintendents, field engineers, craft personnel, and all subcontractors on construction projects. Serve as an advisor to the owner, design team, and all trades involved in the project.
  • Establish work priorities and coordinate activities with all relevant parties to ensure project efficiency and adherence to schedules.
  • Oversee the terms and conditions of construction contracts.
  • Act as a liaison to the owner, coordinating plans and construction activities.
  • Source material suppliers for necessary consumables and estimate materials required for specific tasks. Order materials and manage their delivery to align with construction progress, ensuring proper storage according to manufacturer guidelines. Monitor material staging among various trades and oversee material deliveries.
  • Conduct weekly coordination meetings with all subcontractors currently on site and those scheduled to arrive soon. Manage workflows, safety protocols, environmental considerations, manpower needs, material requirements, and overall scheduling through these meetings.

Salary Range - $70,000 - $90,000+ based on experience
