Job Overview

A reputable commercial roofing enterprise with a legacy of over 50 years is actively seeking a Commercial Roofing Foreman. This position is crucial for ensuring the delivery of high-quality roofing services that align with client expectations.

Role Summary

The selected candidate will work closely with management and estimators, supervising roofing service and maintenance teams while ensuring that projects are completed successfully. Training of the production and maintenance staff will also be a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in training sessions as required by management.
  • Oversee job setup and manage smaller roofing projects.
  • Engage with clients to foster and maintain positive relationships.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of detailed plans and specifications.
  • Comprehend warranty conditions to guarantee proper installation for warranty-related tasks.
  • Acquire knowledge in basic sheet metal work, including measurements and installation techniques (e.g., drip edge, gravel stop, coping, counter flashings, terminations).
  • Ensure all tasks are completed and ready for inspection.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding potential project scope changes or design modifications.
Essential Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or training, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
  • Comfortable working at heights and capable of using an extension ladder for roof access.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete daily tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to represent the organization professionally and positively.
  • Critical skills include effective planning and organization, problem-solving, multitasking, and a sense of urgency in completing tasks promptly.
