Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital - Fenton. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and administering prescribed respiratory therapeutic services.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapeutic services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies and procedures, and guidelines.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment, and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
- Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
- Provide education to patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.
- Assist with care, calibration, and maintenance of all equipment, and participate in maintaining departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment.
- Respond to medical emergencies and rapid responses.
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent years of experience and education.
This is a full-time position with a scheduled weekly hours of 36. The work shift is night shift. The job type is employee, and the department is STL Regional Float Pool.
