Job Overview

Elev8 Construction, Inc. is in search of a skilled Project Coordination Specialist to support our commercial construction initiatives. We seek candidates with a robust background in commercial construction and project oversight to enhance our operations.

The Project Coordination Specialist will play a crucial role in facilitating the various aspects of project management, including permitting, cost oversight, scheduling, documentation, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee administrative elements of projects, including plans, proposals, and contracts.
  • Assist in maintaining the project timeline as directed by site supervisors.
  • Handle the submission, tracking, and acquisition of necessary permits, frequently liaising with local authorities to prevent delays.
  • Support project management with monthly payment requests and collaborate with the finance team.
  • Assist in managing subcontractor relationships.
  • Keep comprehensive project logs, including drawings, submittals, permits, and requests for information (RFIs).
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Participate in and document weekly project meetings.
  • Conduct photographic documentation of project progress.
  • Prepare final project documentation, including warranties, as-built drawings, and punch lists.
  • Facilitate effective communication between project personnel and the corporate office.
  • Assist in the flow of information between site supervisors and subcontractor management.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Basic understanding of construction terminology and processes.
  • Familiarity with construction accounting principles.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, managers, and colleagues.
  • Proficient in fieldwork.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in problem identification and resolution.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, and scheduling software (MS Project) is required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and respond positively to management direction.

Additional Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Willingness to undergo a drug test and consent to a background check.
