Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Florida Cancer Specialists. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with medical procedures in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Perform phlebotomy, laboratory testing, and quality control to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain medical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide administrative support to physicians and staff, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Valid Medical Assistant Certification from a recognized accrediting agency (e.g. AAMA, NHA, AMT, NAHP).
  • One year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician's office, with venipuncture experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and practice management software.
  • Certification in phlebotomy or other medical specialties.
