Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to join our maintenance team at our Richmond, IN site. The ideal candidate will possess a strong safety mindset and a high degree of self-driven ownership and accountability over their duties and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and troubleshoot problems with instruments and sensors, including flow meters, variable speed drives, temperature sensors, pressure and level transmitters, air quality sensors, communications devices, and interfaces.
  • Repair and maintain electrical and instrument equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Inspect and test the operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, instrument loop diagrams, and BIDS.
  • Work with DCS, programming, and troubleshooting programmable logic controls (PLC), control software, and human-machine interface systems.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety rules and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in the instrumentation / electrical field, or Journeyman Instrument / Electrical Certificate, or Associates Degree in I & E Technology.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RFCA).
  • Good interpersonal skills in communication, listening, and safety practices.
  • Identify practices and equipment that might be improved and increase reliability and/or decrease cost to the organization.
