About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Executive to join our Corporate Communications team at Andrew Woods & Associates. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Honda Corporate Communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic PR Planning: Develop tailored communication plans and help shape client strategies and storytelling, offering insights on messaging, pitch lists and media engagement, as well as crisis communication and reputation management.
  • PR Writing: Research, craft and refine high-quality communications content, including press releases, pitch letters, Q&As, articles, speeches, commentaries and other materials.
  • Media Relations: Secure targeted media placements through strategic media relations activities, including pitching stories, interview and event support and other efforts.
  • Social Media Content Creation: Craft compelling social media content that engages target audiences and aligns with client brand voice and messaging.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships, managing day-to-day communications and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Daily Clips Support: Provide support for daily media monitoring and clip compilation.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in public relations, focusing on corporate communications and strategic planning
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to client service and problem-solving
  • Strong writing and editing skills with experience in creating press releases; proficiency in AP style
  • Proven media relations expertise with a successful track record of story pitching and media engagement
  • Knowledge of social media best practices and experience developing social content
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and deadline-driven with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
  • Willingness to travel, if necessary, for client and media engagements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and prior experience in this sector
  • Previous experience working in an agency environment
  • Proficient in PR tools and software (e.g., Muck Rack, Cision)
