Maintenance Technician Job Description

At The Judge Group, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repair using DMMs and other diagnostic tools.
  • Develop and implement lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance and repairs, minimizing disruptions to operations.
  • Conduct inventory management and report needed parts to ensure timely procurement.
  • Lubricate and maintain equipment to prevent wear and tear.
  • Program VFDs on conveyor systems and troubleshoot relays, switches, and motors.
  • Work independently on advanced projects and prioritize production calls.
  • Promote a positive work environment and ensure compliance with GMP and OSHA standards.
  • Work varied shifts, including holidays and weekends, and provide training and support to daily operations.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of maintenance technician experience.
  • Strong mechanical and maintenance background.
  • Familiarity with shop equipment (lathes, mills, welders) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with electrical systems preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, scissor, and aerial lifts safely.
  • Advanced mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to read blueprints/schematics.
  • Exceptional attendance record.
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours and lift 35-50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in varying temperatures (45-95°F).
