About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Director/Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in the East Coast region. This is a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the quality, consistency, and authenticity of our menu while ensuring operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development and Innovation:
    • Design, test, and implement new menu items that align with our brand and customer preferences.
    • Ensure menu items are authentic, flavorful, and consistent with our brand experience.
    • Stay current with culinary trends and incorporate relevant innovations.
  • Quality Control:
    • Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
    • Implement and enforce rigorous quality control procedures across all kitchen operations.
    • Conduct regular tastings and inspections to ensure consistency.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee daily culinary operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in kitchen processes.
    • Develop and manage kitchen budgets, including food costs, labor, and other expenses.
    • Collaborate with the management team to optimize operational performance.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Recruit, train, and mentor culinary staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
    • Promote professional growth and development opportunities for the culinary team.
  • Supplier and Inventory Management:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients.
    • Manage inventory levels, minimizing waste and ensuring cost-effective purchasing.
    • Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors.
  • Customer Experience:
    • Interact with customers to gather feedback and ensure a positive dining experience.
    • Address and resolve any customer concerns related to food quality or service.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Culinary Director, Executive Chef, or similar role in a high-volume, high-quality restaurant.
  • Deep knowledge of barbecue techniques, flavors, and traditions.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and inventory management.
  • Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for culinary excellence.
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred, but not required.
