Position Summary

The Warehouse Training Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of warehouse personnel. This position is responsible for overseeing training initiatives, developing training materials, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Reporting to the Director of Training, the Warehouse Training Coordinator will contribute to the effective onboarding and continuous development of warehouse staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training Management: Facilitate training sessions for new hires and existing employees, focusing on skill enhancement and cross-training opportunities.
  • Safety Instruction: Assist in delivering safety training, emphasizing emergency protocols and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Operational Training: Review standard operating procedures (SOPs) with trainees to ensure comprehension and adherence to job functions.
  • Equipment Operation: Provide training on the safe and efficient use of warehouse machinery, including forklifts and conveyor systems.
  • Inventory Procedures: Educate staff on effective inventory management practices, including receiving, storage, and order fulfillment.
  • Training Resources: Aid in the creation and organization of training materials and manuals for easy access during training sessions.
  • Record Maintenance: Keep accurate training records and track employee certifications and compliance with training requirements.
  • Safety Compliance: Promote adherence to safety regulations and company policies throughout the training process.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed about industry best practices and seek opportunities for ongoing personal and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
