Job Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is a key role within the AR Department, responsible for overseeing the Collections and Cash Receipts processes. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with a focus on ensuring timely collections and accurate cash postings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Collections and Cash Receipts staff, including determining individual and departmental goals, assessing and prioritizing workload, and setting deadlines.
  • Conduct interviews with managers, review and approve timesheets, and address first-level personnel issues.
  • Review Cash Receipts postings to verify postings tie to bank account statements, including the accuracy of bank deposits.
  • Evaluate processes and implement changes for more efficiency.
  • Participate and/or release orders according to limits of authority and provide status of customer accounts, as needed to Management.
  • Update Power BI, including running of reports from SAP and other external sources, as needed.
  • Prepare various AR monthly reports, including DSO, AR general ledger account reconciliations, and other analytics, as needed.
  • Ensure timely update of department SOPs, and reviews for accuracy.
  • SAP QA testing for changes and for upgrades of SAP, as needed.
  • Coordinate and host meetings with customers and various internal employees to expedite collection of unpaid invoices.
  • Escalation of collection issues to Accounting Management, according to escalation policy.
  • Management of various Accounts Receivable projects and initiatives (i.e. clean up of Accounts Receivable aged items, etc.).
  • Provide support to Accounting Management & participate in ad hoc projects, as required.
Requirements:
  • Advanced Excel and Word skills.
  • 10 Key by Touch.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Must be a team player & able to work with other individuals in & outside the department (at various levels) in a positive manner.
  • Must be organized and recognize & meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to research, problem solve & identify solutions.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated.
