Job Summary

The Manager of Warranty is responsible for overseeing the management of product and labor for warranty replacement of Mueller Systems products. This role involves providing guidance to clients, investigating and resolving issues, and delivering solutions that meet the expectations of contracts and sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement warranty analysis efforts to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Analyze warranty returns to identify budget actual vs planned reporting and evaluate returns by product, customer, and build year.
  • Develop quarterly and yearly projections for warranty returns by product and work with leadership and product management to communicate key metrics.
  • Utilize data to evaluate customer requests for advanced warranty support and work with leadership, customers, and sales to establish long-term goals and budgets.
  • Work with Professional Services leadership to establish and manage goals and responsibilities for advanced warranty and customer campaign requests.
  • Assist in the development of thought leadership, event-specific, and customer-facing presentations.
  • Team with other departments to return advanced replacement products that exceed the return policy.
  • Create, review, and approve contracts, formal statements of work, change requests, and proposals.
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and customers to scope and deliver warranty products and services.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors for timely delivery of services and develop budgets for each situation.
  • Communicate with executive leadership on progress and budget for each case.
  • Ensure delivery models are focused on quality, cost-effective delivery of services, and customer success outcomes.
Requirements
  • Degree or similar in a relevant management discipline.
  • Financial acumen and ability to technical write and work with the legal team.
  • Ability to negotiate for a win-win solution and demonstrate a track record of achievement working at the executive level.
  • Quick to identify key issues and priorities, spot opportunities and risk, resolve problems, and make practical and balanced decisions.
  • Experience of managing a customer-focused process and implementing improvements successfully.
  • Good working knowledge of current technologies and technically proficient across the broad scope of IT applications, systems, and infrastructure.
  • Customer-aware with good listening and analytical skills and a strong belief in service quality.
  • Personable, presentable professional image, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and able to build effective long-term relationships.
